CAN DOGS TELL IF SOMEONE IS A GOOD PERSON?

The simple answer is an unequivocal YES!  One of the many reasons dogs are incredible beings is their ability to notice and respond to the physical cues of humans.  It is a type of sixth sense.  We as humans don't always see these cues as clearly as dogs do.  Dogs sense from humans' overall body language and energy that they are "good" or "bad".

I remember when I first "met" Lorraine because it was when her daughter, Laura,  adopted our Diamond Dog, Daisy and became part of The Diamond Dog Family!  My friendship with Laura developed but wasn't physical, it was social and long distance, and because of our mutual love for her Daisy!  And from that social friendship with Laura, a kinship to Lorraine was formed as I witnessed the beauty of her that shined with each and every posting of her mom that she shared.  It was THAT message of photos that told me all I needed to know about her and, like the sixth sense of our Daisy, I knew immediately she was "good"!

So, when Laura said "my mom loved Daisy, could I please have the information to make Diamond Dogs Rescue the place of her donations?" I was honored and humbled to pay tribute to Lorraine by being the recipient of donations in her memory!

Today when I read Laura's messages about her mom so many of her words reflected what Lorraine was about.  She was a strong, determined woman.  A mother, who knew the loss of her husband at only 26 and yet showed strength and resilience.  As Laura said, she took pain and turned it to love for all around her.  She filled Laura's social media posts with pictures of happiness and I could easily see the impact she made on her friends and family- so many messages that spoke of her dealing with life through laughter, love and "that legacy middle finger".

We are grateful to have shared a small part in Lorraine's chapters of life- brought to us by none other than this special Diamond Dog, Daisy.

It is with profound sadness that we share in her beloved family's grief and say, "Yours was a life well spent" my friend.

MAY THE MEMORIES YOU HAVE GIVEN TO THOSE LEFT BEHIND LAST A LIFETIME
